Community Flag Program

The Community Flag Program is an initiative by CGCAI to seek donations for the maintenance and repair of the Gilbert Baker and Daniel Quasar Progress Pride flags. These flags symbolize inclusivity and unity within the LGBTQIA+ community.

During the summer season, the flags are flown on the west flagpole of the Cherry Grove dock in rotation. To ensure their durability, the flags may require occasional repairs or temporary removal during inclement weather to prevent damage. However, there are instances when the flags become irreparable and need to be replaced. This process is managed vigilantly by CGCAI, CGPOA and The Dockmaster.

In the past, generous private donors and organizations have provided funding for the flags. While their support has been greatly appreciated, it is not a sustainable long-term solution. Therefore, CGCAI and CGPOA are seeking donations from the community to sustain this program and ensure that these magnificent flags can be enjoyed and celebrated by everyone who visits Cherry Grove.
